Mother of three, ex-wife, and a journalism degree is a short description of me. I could go on and on about my accomplishments, goals, and struggles, but as you follow my blog, more about me will be unveiled. I have taught public and private schools for the past 9 years and counting. I've observed and encountered a lot! I have opinions, values and morals, just like everyone else, or so we all would like to think. But how much, or better yet, who or what do we really value?
As we journey this blog together, we may come across topics that we find controversial, empowering, uplifting, motivating, jaw-dropping, electrifying, offensive, lit, "she said what now," or any other action word you can think of. This blog will in fact reflect me, as well as countless other men and women because we are all of these things. We are Black people and we represent all aspects of life in more ways than one.
Make no mistake, if you celebrate black culture in any way, be it through music, fashion, community, arts, relationships (social and personal), you are more than welcomed to chime in at anytime. No disrespect or name calling will be tolerated!! Period!! Let's educate one another, spread knowledge, and have fun.
